A couple of weeks ago, we shared how to install games on your PS4 console.
Today, we’ll cover how to download and install the games that you already own.
Before we get to that, let’s get started.
What are PS4 games?
First, let me say that this is all very confusing.
But I can explain it.
Sony has released a list of PS4 titles that it says are compatible with the Playstation VR, and you can find a full list of those titles here.
If you’re not familiar with that list, here’s a summary of what they mean.
You can find all the PS4 VR titles at this link.
There are also some games that are not listed on that list.
For example, there’s a game called Braid that’s not listed there.
In fact, it’s a PS4 title that was originally developed for the Playstation 2.
In that case, the game will not work on the PSVR.
Some of the games you may be interested in are: Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, The Order: 1886, The Walking Dead: Season 1, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Doom, and more.
If all of these games don’t look like they’ll work on your Playstation 4, it doesn’t mean they won’t.
They may be just a little buggy.
However, if you want to check out a full listing of all of the PS VR games that Sony has listed, check out this page: http://www.ps4.com/games/store/games-on-ps4/articles/a-few-things-you-need-to-know-about-the-ps-4-vr-market-part-2.aspx If you have any questions about installing games on PS4, feel free to reach out to me.
There’s a lot to cover today.
However for now, let us just get started!
If you’ve installed a PSVR title before, you should already know the steps to follow.
If not, let the following steps help you install games in the safest way possible.
First, click the menu button and then select “Manage Downloads.”
Next, select the title you want and then choose the “Download” button.
The download will begin.
You may also have to wait a little while to download the game.
After the download is complete, you’ll see the title list and the “Start” button in the top-left corner.
Now, simply choose “Install on Your PS4” to install the title.
In this step, you can choose to install a game in your home library or your local library.
You’ll see two different download options.
If your PSVR device supports a different file format, you may want to choose the one you want first.
In either case, you will then see a notification appear and a menu with a few options.
This menu will allow you to check whether you want the title installed, which is usually the safest option.
If this option is checked, you’re now ready to play the game on your PlayStation 4.
If the title is not installed on your system, you won’t be able to download it.
In order to install it, just wait until the title installs.
It will start downloading after a few minutes.
It’s pretty simple, but we’ll get to the other options in a bit.
Now that the title has installed, we’re ready to start playing the game!
When you install a title, it will take a little bit of time to download.
You will see a little pop-up message saying “Your download is ready to begin” and the title will start to download for you.
In the meantime, you need to make sure you have your PSN account and password.
Next, you are going to need to select your desired download location.
You are going not only to need your PS3 account and your password, but also your internet connection.
You want to make your internet connections ready before you start downloading.
In most cases, you want your internet to be as fast as possible, but some games may require more power.
You don’t want to download on a bad connection or with bad internet connections.
We recommend you make sure your internet is stable.
If it’s not, then you won.
Finally, when you’re ready, you just have to start the download.
The title will load in your local store, and when you close it, it’ll automatically be re-installed.
You should see a green notification with the download complete and a button to “continue.”
If you didn’t install the game or if you’re experiencing any problems, you have to continue to play it.
To finish, simply select “Install.”
After that, you’ve just downloaded the game onto your PS VR.
